Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish actress and model. Alison Doody made her film debut as an actress and Bond girl in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modelling after she was approached. It turned out to be a lucrative career. Doody did not shy away from glamour or sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. Having come to the attention to the director of casting for an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2. She was one of twelve promising new actors for 1986. 38. Doody is only 18 at the time she played the part of Doody in the film A prayer for the dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke, is the tiniest Bond Girl to date. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying where she played IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody played Archibald Craven's wife Lilias In his dream in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. In a Jim Henson fantasy episode The Storyteller in 1988, Doody portrayed Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She also played as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathizer as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She was chosen to succeed Cybill Shepherd as spokesperson for L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery the agent's girlfriend. Doody came back to acting in 2003 when she played a minuscule performance on her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at the awards ceremony. The year 2004, she appeared in a scene with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), a pamphlet describing the Holocaust. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Then, she appeared in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to appear in an adaptation in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018 she was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema Award and received a Star on the Walk of Fame in Almeria.
