Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial attempt she made her skills, she placed second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract for Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. One year later Felix won the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting the world junior record running 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest to win the 200 meters at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal time and time again in 2007 by beating the long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed within the top three athletes in each of her events.
