Allyson Felix
Allyson Michael Felix is a Los Angeles native born on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athlete of the highest level and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the sports company Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics in Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, she became the youngest world champion of 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her longtime Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 across her diverse competitions during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
